梵高油画头像习作《女人头像》

　　Van Gogh hoped one day to become a figure painter. So he was constantly drawing and painting studies of heads. He made portraits of countless men and women who worked on farms around Nuenen (NL). To him, these were not portraits of individuals but depictions of types. In his eyes, they represented the hard life of farm workers.

　　Above this woman's left eye (on the right of the painting) is a black dot: her pupil. This bit of paint shifted after the painting was done and ended up on her eyelid.

　　梵高希望有一天成为一名人物画画家。所以他一直在画人物头像。他写生了无数在纽南附近农场工作的男人和女人的肖像。对他来说，这些不是个人的肖像，而是习作。在他眼里，它们代表了农场工人的艰苦生活。
